A/W Primark Haul !

As I have mentioned a million times already (slight exaggeration) I LOVE Autumn , especially Autumn-y clothes ! Whilst browsing around  Primark last week , I just couldn't keep my peepers off some of the lovely pieces they have in store this season , so  naturally I picked a few up  .I have always and always will be a huge fan of Primark , I feel that they consistently create on trend pieces each season , their price points are perfect and their product quality is great - for the most part.So here's a few of the things I picked up - enjoy!

Tartan Long Sleeve Crop Top (£5) - This would look great with a leather skirt / shorts or even Mom Jeans to create a Punk grunge look.
Fluffy Black Cardigan (£12) - This season is all about texture , and the fluffiness of this cardigan alone justifies its purchase .

T-bar cut out flats (£12) - These lovelies add a feminine touch to any outfit , I think they would look cute paired with a pinafore dress for school/Uni.
Patent Doc Martin style shoes (£10) - For a while now I have thought about purchasing a pair of Doc shoes , however I felt that I wouldn't wear them often enough to justify their price.Luckily Primark saved the day and I can style these without the heavy price tag .

Spiky Pastel Necklace (£3) DUPE ALERT - Topshop's "Cord and Stone Collar Necklace"  . This fits in nicely with the winter pastels trend and looks great under collared shirts !
Leopard Necklace - I am a huge fan of statement jewelry , so this was right up my street . Statement jewelry can really jazz up any outfit and with minimal effort .

Tartan Scarf (£4) - I don't know if its a Scottish thing but my love for tartan scarfs is like no other . This is a staple piece for this season as its bang on trend and super cosy!

Floral printed trousers (£12) -DUPE ALERT - Topshop's "Floral Jacquard Tregings". Personally I'm more of a skirt kind of gal , but these really caught my eye . I  feel that these could be my go -to trousers for this season as they are super easy to style .

Iridescent Square Earrings (£2) - DUPE ALERT - Topshop's "Iridescent Square Studs"
Floral Shirt (£10) - Emerald green is probably my favorite color to wear , anytime of the year . I instantly fell in love with the print of this shirt - what a bargain !

Bootylicious : Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane Dupes!

So over the past few months I have been really into the whole gothic / grungy trend , and seeing as it doesn't seem to be going anywhere I have decided to purchase these beauties to hopefully see me through the cold Scottish winter . For weeks I have been debating on purchasing the infamous Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane boots , however I just couldn't bring myself to part with £160 + for a pair of boots that I could potentially find difficult to style . However , whilst browsing on River Island's fabby online site I came across these beauties (ahhh) - The Chunky Buckle Cut Out Boot  . As soon as my peepers set eyes on these , I knew they were a A/W must have for me , and at £45 I just couldn't resist ! The boots are made from a great quality faux leather and are really sturdy ! I would say that they are definitely quite big made though , so I would consider purchasing a smaller size if you have slimmer feet like me ! These are surprisingly versatile and are perfect for the A/W punk trend - it's love !

I LOVE AUTUMN !

So I have to confess that Autumn is definitely my favorite time of the year ! Although the heat of summer is gone , my surroundings begin to fill with new season trends ,cosy layers and spicy scents ahhh . So what better time to pick up some winter wearable's eh ? Over the past few weeks I have purchased quite a few goodies from fashion to beauty , so I have decided to share my lovely finds with you guys . I hope you  Enjoy!!

Life is Better with a Tan?

Life is Better with a Tan ?

So in the midst of the heat wave that's hit the UK , I have decided to chat about a more serious issue - the dangers of the UV rays. I am a firm believer that "life is better with a tan" because to me , it is - with a tan I feel great and look healthier . However , my tan is more often than not , from a bottle . As the pressure to look beach ready is greater than ever I have noticed a huge increase in people my age hitting the tanning salons  .Not only do sun beds cause premature ageing and skin damage , studies show that people who are frequently exposed to UV rays before 25 years of age are at greater risk of developing skin cancer later in life. You can't always see the damage that UV rays cause and symptoms of skin damage can take up to 20 years to appear - it just doesn't seem worth it . Yes bottled tan takes a bit of time and doesn't always turn out perfect  , I know I would much rather have an uneven tan for a few days now than have rough , wrinkled skin or worse - cancer later on in life . I came across this video a few days ago and it has really changed my attitude towards tanning, have a watch and think before you tan :)

The Sun has got his hat on !

The Sun has got his hat on !

Today a very rare thing happened in Scotland - the sun came out ! As the weather here  is usually pretty grim us Scots tend to make the most of these rare sunny days . Its amazing how a change in the weather cheers everyone up ! I can't think of a better way to begin the holidays than spend some time soaking up the sun with a BBQ and cocktails ! On our BBQ we grilled some lime chicken and pepper skewers , baked potato's and corn on the cob - yumm! To top it off we had a few ice cold berry cocktails (naughty) - we picked up these "Parrot Bay" frozen ready made Daiquiris in Tesco a few days ago - they were delicious , a perfect way to cool down in the summer heat !

As I said before we really do try and make the most out of the few sunny days that we have , so I figured this would be the perfect time to snap an outfit of the day too . As I was only sunbathing in my garden , today's outfit is pretty casual , this is something that I would probably wear whilst chilling by the pool or beach whilst on holiday ,

-Cut Out Aztec Bikini - Primark
-Polka Dot Cropped Shirt - Topshop
-Acid Wash Moto Shorts - Topshop
-Black T Bar Sandals - Next
-Classic RayBan Sunnies

Today was definitely one of the nicest most relaxing days of the year so far , keep your fingers and toes crossed for  more sunny weather !

What I Heart this Week !

What I heart this Week !

I have decided that each week I will share a few random things that I've been loving from fashion trends to food !

-Garnier Moisture Match in "Wake me up"- This really does what it says on the tin , I use this at night after cleansing my face my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish . I first noticed a difference in my skin within 3 days of use , it left it looking dewy and fresh - I can imagine this would look great paired with Rimmel's "Wake me up" foundation !
-Ted Baker Opulent Bow Makeup Bag - A summer take on their classic bow makeup bag , packed with rose gold floraly goodness .
-Asos bag with front tab detail - I imagine this would be great for the autumn , particularly for anyone going back to school/uni.
-Topshop Aubrey Open Side Chunky Boots- My crush of the month ! These boots hit the cut out trend right on the head .A lovely staple shoe for both Summer - worn with bare legs or Winter paired with tights .
-Nico Mirallegro - Star of "My Mad Fat Diary" and new release "Spike Island (BABE!).

My Summer Face !

Although Summer here in Scotland is pretty much non existent  I still feel obliged to switch up my makeup and try out lighter , creamier products . Over the past few weeks I have found myself using a combination of products which I feel make for a great summer face (whether you live in Barbados or here in not so sunny Glasgow). So here goes !

Face

1. Mac Mineralize Skin finish in Medium - I like to use a little bit of this to set my foundation during the summer months , although summer is all about cream products this powder prevents the skin from looking oily or greasy in the summer sun . This could also be used instead of foundation for a lighter coverage - if you're feeling brave !
2. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 53 - This is definitely my foundation of the year so far ! It gives a medium coverage but still leaves the skin looking dewy and ....healthy , this is a great alternative to Nars Sheer Glow foundation .
3.Benefit Talk to the Tan - This is a product which I didn't really know how to use at first , however this is great for adding to any tinted moisturizers or foundations to add a bit of warmth during the summer months.
4. Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in porcelain - I apply a little bit of this under the eyes with my fingers to conceal any dark circles ( perfect for "the morning after the night before" who needs sleep eh?).
5. Maybelline Dream Touch Blush in 06 -These blushes have a fantastic creamy texture and feel great on the skin - these work best when applied using your fingers - handy !

Eyes

1.A very well used Urban Decay Naked Pallete - A great versatile product , perfect for any season .This is a product I definitely couldn't live without .
2.Stilla Smudge Pot in Kitten - This product is marketed as a gel liner , however I tend to use mine as a shadow base , or simply on its own for those hectic days . A great highlight product for your inner corner !
3. Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in black - A great dupe for Urban Decay's 24/7 liners . Its creamy ,amazingly pigmented and long-lasting , what more can I say ....
4. Loreal Super liner in Crystal Black - This is super easy to apply and is an everyday essential for me .

Lips

1.Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake - These lip butters are a lovely for  to moisturizing your lips and adding subtle hint of color .
2. Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Celestial - Rimmel really are on the ball this season ! These liquid lipsticks are extremely pigmented and long lasting and are also under £5.
4.Revlon Colourstay Lipstick in Socialite - These apply really smoothly and dry with a matte finish . I love these lipsticks however a find using some sort of lip balm over the top prolongs wear and adds a bit of moisture which I feel they lack .
5&6 . Mac Fan Fare and Hot Gossip - You just cant beat a Mac Lipstick - they look great , they smell great and have possibly the best colour range on the market .
7. EOS Lip balm - A Summer Essential , great for keeping your lips soft and kissable !
